In recent years, Yoshida has turned her attention to unseen and unknown phenomena, depicting space, time, and living things within parallel worlds and multiverses resembling our own.

Yoshida creates works that move freely between two and three dimensions, drawing inspiration from natural-historical motifs. She explores themes of preserving time and memory as physical matter, using familiar motifs in richly layered forms of expression.

Waka Yoshida was born in Iwate in 1983 and graduated with a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from the Department of Education, Saitama University in 2006. She has had multiple solo exhibitions, including at GALLERY MoMo Ryogoku, Tokyo, and Cyg art gallery, Iwate.
