neko creates by printing digitally made works on paper and adding pastel, crayon, and acrylic. The sadness and violence seen in the smiling figures are said to be connected to the idea that these characters are linked to ghosts when unraveled from their context.

neko debuted in the art world as a member of the pre-cursor group 'Post Poppers' in the late 2000s but left early on. They disappeared from the scene for about 10 years before returning in 2020 with the support of collector Motoha Iijima. In 2021, they curated the group exhibition 'Otopurami-kai' and in 2024, they planned and curated 'Butsubutsukai'.
