Glacier Diary

This exhibition marks a shift in the artist's practice from photographing subjects to exploring the medium of photography itself, transforming it into physical objects and installations.

The artist pursues the theme of glaciers, capturing them from a close perspective using a sea kayak, and transforms the medium of photography into physical objects and installations.

Based in Tokyo, Gentaro Ishizuka has exhibited at the Pola Museum of Art and the National Museum of Modern Art, and won the Steidl Book Award Japan Grand Prize in 2016. This is his first solo exhibition at KOTARO NUKAGA since 2024.
