CHORUS

This exhibition is based on the artist's experience of bodily discomfort and the resulting focus on the present moment, leading to new works that explore time and the body through repeated actions of layering, scraping, and reassembling.

Using watercolor, oil paint, collage, and text, the artist layers color, texture, and imagery to create a unique painting world where fantasy and everyday sensations coexist.

Akiko Ando was born in 1987 in Ibaraki Prefecture. After graduating from the Design Department of Tokyo University of the Arts, she has been active in various fields such as book design, illustration, and CD artwork alongside her own artwork.
