PARADISE PARK 2

This exhibition features shimao’s exploration of the theme of her beloved dog, whom she began living with this year.

SAWA and shimao create works from their distinct perspectives, filled with free-flowing brushstrokes and an energy that seems to permeate the entire picture plane. They depict an ideal world within us or a landscape of a world yet to be discovered.

SAWA was born in 1979 in Kanagawa, graduated from Joshibi Junior College of Art and Design, and has participated in solo and group exhibitions annually. She launched Atelier Harappa in 2024 and is participating in a touring exhibition in Taiwan in 2026. shimao studied at Parsons School of Design and Musashino Art University’s Department of Visual Communication Design, worked for an automotive parts manufacturer, and is now based in Nagoya.
