Both artists have devoted themselves to the study and practice of Ink painting, a traditional art form, while their technical approaches, concepts, artistic styles, and modes of expression are very contrasting.

Chiho Yamagishi graduated from the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2015. Lin Mingjun graduated from Minzu University of China and completed the Japanese Painting program at Tama Art University in 2023 and is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Tokyo University of the Arts.
