Linder: Goddess of the Mind

Linder uses photography and photomontage to challenge and reimagine ideas of desire and the female body, splicing and assembling photomontages that remain urgent and subversive.

Linder Sterling was born in Liverpool in 1954 and lives and works in London. In February 2025, she opened a major retrospective, Linder: Danger Came Smiling, at the Hayward Gallery, London, which then toured to multiple locations.
