Soil and Stars
The new works reflect a deeper connection with nature, incorporating a broader spatial and open expression, and a shift in technique where the paper itself is used as a support rather than being traced onto canvas.
Yuko Someya captures life and death, birth and nature, through imaginative and fantastical depictions of flora and fauna, often reflecting on personal memories and life changes.
