About this exhibition

This exhibition features all of Sugimoto's 'Bay of Sagami, Enoura' works from 2022 to 2026, and the 'P.P.T.R.D.' series, which captures fossils as pre-photography time-recording devices.

The artist

Sugimoto explores the origins of human consciousness through landscapes and fossils, using silver salt photography to capture timeless scenes of the sea and sky.

This is his first solo exhibition since 2005, and follows the 'Sugimoto: Extinct Photography' exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
