The artist

Leaving my long-time home has given me a chance to reconsider what quality of life really means. Spending time with a friend in the country, or discovering pockets of nature in the city, taught me that your surroundings don't automatically change your well-being. 'A grand life' means different things to everyone, but my hope is to focus on discovering the small, personal pleasures in my own everyday routine.

Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1980, he moved to the United States during high school and graduated from the Parsons School of Design in New York in 2003. Since then, he has continued his artistic practice in the United States while working in the arts.
