This exhibition reconsiders Hibino’s early cardboard works in relation to a historical turning point in Japanese contemporary art, highlighting their significance beyond urban culture of the 1980s.

Hibino uses cardboard, a material that retains traces of transportation and use, to explore themes of time, movement, and the tension between aspiration and impossibility.
