About this exhibition

The change in living environment due to moving from Tokyo to Yamanashi has subtly influenced Minoura's painting expression. Previously, he continued creating until night, but now he stops when the sun sets. Rain, which used to be melancholic, now appears as a beautiful misty landscape by the river.

The artist

Kentaro Minoura creates paintings based on physical experiences, daily nuances, and the act of moving one's hands while touching paint, akin to a playful behavior. His works reflect the universal nature of living, creating, and playing, and quietly question our way of life.

Kentaro Minoura moved his base of activities from Tokyo to Yamanashi Prefecture in 2022. He has held solo exhibitions such as 'tsu' at Gallery Trax (Yamanashi, 2024), 'so' at Studio 35 Bun (Tokyo, 2023), and 'se' at parcel (Tokyo, 2022).
