About this exhibition

The exhibition focuses on a new series of vessels.

The artist

Ikegami uses hot working and cold working techniques. Hot working involves shaping molten glass at 1,200°C, while cold working involves polishing the glass alone over an extended period of time. He explores the question of 'what is life?' through the materiality of glass.

Born in 2000, Ikegami studied glass craft at Tama Art University and the Toyama Institute of Glass Art. He is currently based in Tokyo and has presented his work in Japan and internationally.
