About this exhibition

This exhibition marks the 10th anniversary of the 'JOMON TRIBE' project, which aims to revive Jomon-era tattoo patterns on the human body and has gathered over 50 participants.

The artists

Taku Oshima is a tattoo artist who specializes in blackwork and travels the world to study tribal tattoo traditions, incorporating his findings into modern tattoo designs. Ryoichi Keroppy Maeda is a journalist and photographer who has covered body modification and cutting-edge culture since the mid-90s.

Taku Oshima had his first solo exhibition in 2016 and held an overseas exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany in 2017. Ryoichi Keroppy Maeda has had solo exhibitions such as 'Modified Future' in 2024 and group exhibitions such as 'Breast Festival' in 2025 at Vanilla Gallery in Tokyo.
