Yuki Mizoguchi uses spangles to create shifting images based on light and viewing angles, while Sakura Sugiyama uses tufting to express shadows through thread density and texture. Both work within a monochrome palette to explore ambiguity and complexity in form.

Yuki Mizoguchi graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts and began creating art using fabrics, spangles, and beads from her experience in the apparel industry. Sakura Sugiyama was born in Tokyo in 1995, studied fashion at the Cultural Clothing College, worked in a collection brand, and later began creating art using tufting.
