The artist
Shiko Sawada creates sculptures inspired by myths and legends, transforming them into mysterious and enigmatic forms that evoke a sense of awe and reverence for nature.
Shiko Sawada was born in Tokyo in 1965, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts, and completed his master's degree at the same university. He is currently a professor at Culture University.
