About this exhibition

Atsushi Kaga's recent engagement with traditional Japanese painting, Miwa Ogasawara's incorporation of metal leaf, Yui Samejima's layered images, and Teppei Takeda's presentation of original esquisses.

The artists

Atsushi Kaga assembles sketches, references, and fragments of images into collages. Miwa Ogasawara explores humanity through quiet interiors and landscapes, incorporating metal leaf. Yui Samejima translates the world's fragments into layered images. Teppei Takeda creates paintings based on small-scale esquisses, revisiting them until they become finished works.

Based between Dublin and Kyoto, Atsushi Kaga continues to develop narratives with his alter ego Usacchi. Miwa Ogasawara is based in Hamburg. Yui Samejima and Teppei Takeda are also featured in the exhibition.
