About this exhibition
The exhibition presents domain names as undeveloped plots of land, putting them up for sale and inviting visitors to explore what remains available within the system of internet scarcity.
The artist
Exploring the internet's early days through the lens of personal introductions, diaries, guestbooks, and collections of links, reimagining internet addresses as land.
exonemo is a Japanese artist duo based in New York, began its activities on the Internet in 1996, and has received awards such as the Golden Nica at Ars Electronica (2006) and the Art Encouragement Prize for New Artists (2021).
