She has recently begun using transparent watercolor, while her subjects have expanded from young girls to plants, insects, fish, and other living creatures.
The artist
Utsunomiya explores the relationship between instinct and reason by depicting creatures overlapping with human figures, highlighting the boundary between them as a line between instinct and reason.
Artist from Nagano, based in Tokyo. Since 2022, she has presented her work in solo and group exhibitions. Her recent work includes illustrations for literary magazines and album artwork.
