This exhibition explores the theme of ambiguity, which is something the author had never heard Mikagi mention before, despite knowing her for more than eleven years.

Ayane Mikagi continues to paint—day and night, creating beautiful works that evoke a strangely familiar scent and a sense of nostalgia and faint sorrow hidden within happiness.

Ayane Mikagi has long harboured a particular affection for the notion of ambiguity. She spent five years attempting to gain admission to art university before finally entering Tama Art University.
