About this exhibition
new additions to her signature series including 'Current Location,' 'LANDSCAPE OF THE WEB,' and 'ICON' are featured.
The artist
drops fragmented symbols into the pictorial space as visual elements and reassembles them into shapes that make visible their abstract meanings. Finds fascination in the slippage between herself and the support when painting with thick layers of paint.
Erika Naka is an up-and-coming artist who explores the possibilities of painting, breaking with traditional forms to express instantaneity and coincidence.
