TIME WORN

This exhibition focuses on reinterpreting historical and cultural fragments through the recombination of cigar ribbons and other materials, emphasizing the visualization of structures formed by time.

Takeshi Ikeda disassembles and reconfigures materials with historical and cultural significance, such as cigar ribbons and cigar boxes, to create new structures and visualizations of time and cultural connections.

Based in Tokyo, Takeshi Ikeda has works collected by the Víctor Manuel Vigilio Center for Contemporary Art in Havana, Cuba, and has pieces on permanent display in various locations including Cigar Club Tokyo and Bar Panacee.
