About this exhibition

This exhibition introduces both the sculptures North Yamayoshi has worked on previously and new works, focusing on the perceptual discrepancy of 'seeing something but not being able to connect it properly.'

The artist

North Yamayoshi has been carving out natural phenomena such as mountains, landscapes, waves, and weather, human bodies, and the presence and absence of people, which cannot be contained within a single contour.

Based in Tokyo and Chiba, he graduated from the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2017. He has held solo exhibitions in 2023 and 2026, and participated in numerous group exhibitions.
