The Papa Act
This exhibition explores the relationship between material, memory, and family, based on the research book left by her late father, Bergson's 'Matter and Memory'.
The artist is interested in the distance and boundaries between self and other, and the possibilities of relationships between different beings. Using video, sound, and installation, she explores intimacy beyond love and sexuality, and the ways of coexisting without full understanding.
Konomi Ishii graduated from Musashino Art University's Department of Film and is currently studying at the Graduate School of Media Imaging, Tokyo University of the Arts.
